The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference 1 read above, wherein the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada has issued notification for due dates for remittance of Examination lee for Regular / Private Once failed candidates (candidates failed in NEW PATFERN only) appearing for the SSC Public Examinations to be held in March, 2018.

Further, it is informed that media reports are being published in Daily News papers in the State highlighting that certain schools are charging exorbitant examination fee ranging between Rs.1500 and Rs.2000, which is over and above the fee prescribed by the Director of Government E,canunations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada. This is resulting the hardship to the parents and causing embarrassing situation for the Government.

In the reference 3rd cited, the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada has reiterated instructions to all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Officers in the State that collection of additional examination fee towards SSC Examination by certain Private Educational Institutions in the State is wrong and not to be allowed.
In view of the above, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District  Educational Officers in the State are directed to constitute a Committee with respective field  functionaries to conduct surprise inspections / checks at schools. They are also requested to enquire into the matter and serve notice on such schools which are found to be violating the instructions of the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh and collecting over and above the  prescribed fee. Besides withdrawing the recognition granted to such schooLs, please display the list of such schools in the District official portal. Please submit report by 20.12.2017 about your district on No. Of surprise check done, No. of Schools found violating and notice served and action taken.

The Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to take necessary steps for wider publicity in Print / Electronic Media about the fee structure and create awareness among the public.

These proceedings should be treated as MOST URGENT.
