Sub: Education - School Education - Inculcate Reading habit among the Students -Motivating the HMs & Teachers - Programmes conducting by Department of Public Libraries - Instructing the DEOs to provide arrangements - Regarding.
All the District Educational Officers in the State are informed that Department of Public Libraries. Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh has intended to conduct awareness programmes initially to motivate the lleadmastcrs and a Teacher of the school who is interested in literature, who can be an agent of change regarding reading habit in schools. This efibri may create love and passion towards reading among the school children. Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation programme is also aimed at the same objective by introducing hook reviews in the ftmative assessment tests. The above said programme may be helpful in making the objective of C.C.E meaningful.
Hence, they are instructed to arrange the meetings of I leadmasters and Teachers in consultation with the Director of Public Libraries to conduct the awareness programmes regarding inculcating reading habit. They are also directed to provide necessary arrangements for the programmes. They are further instructed to review the progress in this matter with the Headmasters.
The receipt of these proceedings should be acknowledged.
