The attention of the all the District Educational Officers are informed that vide reference read above, the State Coordinator, JTC-WOW has stated that under Corporate Social Responsibility by ITC, Hyderabad and in coordination with Academy of Gandhian Studies(AGS), Tirupati it is proposed to educate people especially students on dry waste management and recycling process. They would like to conduct orientation programme. Further it is informed that India is now recycling 14% of its waste Vs 70% in the developed countries and their efforts are to keep India on par with them. Recycling of waste results In conservation of natural resources especially plants and water to a great extent. They want to promote awareness among people on segregation and recycling of waste is a huge task and requires greater participation.
Further, they would like to conduct an orientation program to the students of Government Schools and private schools In all Districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Therefore all the District Educational Officers in the state are instructed to permit the ITC to conduct the orientation program in Government Schools and private schools in their Jurisdiction.
