Sub:- School Education- Up gradation of 220 Urdu medium primary schools to Upper Primary Schools - instructions issued to concerned District Educational Officers in the state — Regarding.

Ref:- 1 .Lr.Rc.No.423/APSSA/A10/Minority/2017 dated:15.11.2017 from the
State Project Director, APSSA, A.P., Amaravathi.
2. Procgs.Rc.No.64/MC/2017, dt:13.09.2017 of this office.

In continuation of the proceedings even No. dt: 13.09.2017, the District Educational Officer’s, of Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool, Ananthapur are informed that (Copy of letter enclosed) the State Project Director, AP SSA, Amaravathi has submitted a letter for Upgradation of 220 Urdu Medium Primary Schools of respective districts.

The State Project Director further stated that there is dire need for Upgradation of 222 Urdu Medium Primary Schools to Upper Primary Schools in the above districts. They have also informed that they have identified 222 Urdu Medium Primary Schools in the above districts and submitted proposals to SpI Chief Secretary the Govt of India MHRD and 220 Urdu Schools has got approval for Upgradation.

In this connection the State Project Director further stated that there is dire need for Up gradation of 220 Urdu Medium Primary Schools to Upper Primary Schools in the above districts and also enclosed a copy of AWP & B 2017-18 sanction budget copy to the 220 schools in the above districts.

In view of the above, facts explained by the State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, A.P, the District Educational Officer’s, of Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool, Ananthapur are requested to Upgrade the 220 Urdu Medium Primary Schools to start 6th class in the academic year 2017-18 (as per the list submitted by the State Project Director, AP SSA) as per rules in vogue.
